Christmas Greetings

Our unique year 2009 consisted of many unforgettable moments.
On one hand we achieved a lot with our American Akitas and
enjoyed spending time with our dear friends in many occasions.
On the other hand we had to experience an unexpected loss
which affected us deeply.

The biggest star of our team in 2009 was Micabi Ken’s Bodyguard “Buddy”.
He was awarded #29 all breeds 2009 in Finland having attended just 12 shows!
His multiple group-placements and the BIS-win at our specialty
show speak for themselves. In December Buddy gained
his Crufts Qualification with Finnish Winner 2009 –title.
With all these wins Buddy will be nominated
the Top American Akita in Finland 2009.  
A huge thank you and congratulations to Buddy’s breeder
Mrs Carola Biermann from Germany!
We also want to congratulate Buddy’s co-owners Nina & Kai-Markus Laiho.
Thank you for taking such good care of our Buddy-boy.

The other team members did well, too.
Inuline Fury “Nessa” took many nice BOB-wins and CACIBs gaining
also a Cruft’s Qualification. Nessa took Finnish & Latvian championship titles
at the age of just two years in 2009.
Black Canyon Winds of War “Soldier” competed mainly outside
Finland with new title Estonian Winner 2009 and Cruft’s Qualification.
Inuline Lordi & Inuline Carola had their International
Beauty Champion -titles confirmed.
Lordi competed successfully both in Finland and the Baltic countries.
Carola wasn’t shown in 2009 but she gave birth
to our beautiful 6^th litter which is sired by US import
“Bubba“ Nutmeg’s Taking the Long Way.
 We had to wait this litter for a long time but it was well worth it!

Our sweet “Tara”, Midian’s Amaterasu, ruled the veteran rings this year.
She competed 8 times in official veteran classes in Finland winning
BOB every time and she also took new titles of Estonian Veteran Champion & Estonian Veteran Winner 2009 thus being  the #1 American Akita Veteran in Finland.
Words couldn’t describe our feelings when we tragically lost her 4^th December
due to an accident.
We were privileged to have her as our beloved family member for nine years.
She will stay in our loving memories forever.

After taking a look at the past we now turn a new leaf and look forward to 2010.
There are many plans and dreams waiting to be fulfilled, but before that we want to
wish all of you the most beautiful Christmas time and success for the New Year!

Joulutervehdys

Vuosi 2009 alkaa olla lopuillaan, ja on taas aika katsoa menneeseen.
Tänä vuonna saimme kokea upeita voittoja näyttelykehissä sekä
onnen hetkiä ystäviemme kanssa useaan otteeseen.
Toisaalta vuoteen mahtui myös sanoinkuvaamatonta surua
odottamattoman vastoinkäymisen vuorossa.

Tiimimme voitokkain jäsen viime vuonna oli Micabi Ken’s Bodyguard ”Buddy”.
Buddy nousi kaikkien rotujen voitokkaimman näyttelykoiran kilpailussa
listasijalle 29 kilpailtuaan vain 12 näyttelyssä!
Näihin näyttelyihin mahtui ryhmäsijoituksia ja erikoisnäyttelyn BIS-voitto.
Joulukuussa sitten Buddy sai vihdoin Voittaja-tittelin Cruftsin osallistumisoikeuden kera. Näiden voittojen myötä Buddy varmisti nimityksensä
Vuoden Amerikanakitaksi 2009. Onnea Buddyn kasvattajalle
Carola Biermannille sekä yhteisomistajille Nina & Kai-Markus Laiholle!
Kiitokset Buddyn hyvästä huolenpidosta ja ammattimaisesta esittämisestä Ninalle.

Myös muu Inuline-tiimi oli voitokas vuonna 2009.
 Inuline Fury ”Nessa” valioitui kahden vuoden iässä ja saavutti vuoden aikana mm. osallistumisoikeuden Cruft’s:n näyttelyyn, kuten teki myös
Nessan isä ”Soldier” Black Canyon Winds of War.
Inuline Lordi & Inuline Carola saivat vahvistukset kansainvälisille
näyttelyvalionarvoilleen. Lordi napsi useita mukavia voittoja sekä
Suomesta että ulkomailta, kun taas Karo piti välivuotta näyttelyistä.
Karon ansiosta saimme kuitenkin kauan odotetun pentueen
kahden vuoden tauon jälkeen.
Odotamme mielenkiinnolla, mitä Karon ja Bubban (Nutmeg’s Taking the Long Way)
pennuista kehittyy.

Rakas vanha rouvamme Tara, Midian’s Amaterasu, kilpaili veteraanikehissä
voittaen amerikanakitojen näyttelyveteraanikilpailun.
Taran kahdeksan virallista veteraanikilpailua Suomessa johtivat
ROP-veteraaniksi kruunaamiseen jokaisella kerralla,
ja ulkomailtakin Tara nappasi Viron veteraanivalion ja veteraanivoittajan tittelit. Järkytyksemme olikin suuri, kun jouduimme luopumaan rakkaasta Tarastamme
joulukuun 4. päivänä onnettomuuden seurauksena.
Surun ja ikävän keskellä yritämme muistaa kaikki ne upeat hetket,
joita yhdeksän vuoden aikana  saimme Taran kanssa kokea.
Kiitos näistä upeista vuosista!

Kiitämme erityisesti kasvatinomistajia sekä muita ystäviä
hienosta vuodesta ja yhteistyöstä.
Toivottavasti tapaamme mahdollisimman monia kasvatteja omistajineen
sekä muita ystäviämme koirineen monissa merkeissä ensi vuonnakin:
esimerkiksi yhdistyksen Open Showssa 6.2. Lahdessa,
mejäilyleirillä Lomatapolassa 17.-18.4. Ulla Honkasen opastuksella,
yhdistyksen pentunäyttelyssä Hollolassa 13.5.,  
SUKOKAn (Kasvattaja-akatemiaan liittyvässä) pentunäyttelyssä Helsingissä 13.6.,  yhdistyksen kesäpäivillä Open Showssa
31.7. Ruovedellä sekä SSKY:n erikoisnäyttelyssä 15.8. Heinolassa.  
Merkitkääpä näitä kalenteriin jo nyt!

Ensi vuodelle on jo paljon uusia suunnitelmia ja unelmia.
 Vuotta 2010 odottaen tahdomme toivottaa kaikille rauhaisaa joulunaikaa sekä menestyksekästä uutta vuotta.
Kiitos kuluneesta vuodesta ja tapaamisiin ensi vuoden puolella!

Laura traveled alone to the World Dog Show 2009 as Hanna had to stay
at home and take care of Carola's puppies,
so Inuline Akitas weren't unfortunately shown this time.
Laura did some showing, though, and here are the results:

Smooth Collie Sandcastle's Storm In A Teacup
was awarded with VWW-09 and BOB-veteran under Marja Talvitie.
Congrats to the owner Jessica Larson!

This winning couple also went all the way to the
TOP4 in Best In Show Veteran under Romanian
 judge Cristian Stefanescu. What a day!
